Profile
The highest-MUFA oil commercially available for frying — 82% oleic acid with only 9% PUFA. This fatty acid profile makes it exceptionally resistant to oxidation. The Fedepalma/UCaldas data shows 210 fry cycles to 25% TPM, roughly double that of conventional sunflower. It is the premium choice for operators who want a seed oil with near-zero saturated fat. Widely available through major US distributors (Bunge, Cargill, ADM).

Highest MUFA content of any common frying oil (82%). Very low saturated fat (9%). Associated with favorable LDL outcomes in the PREDIMED dietary framework. Excellent alpha-tocopherol content.
Sustainability
Grown on temperate cropland in the US, Argentina, and Ukraine. Low deforestation risk. Moderate water footprint. Yield per hectare is significantly lower than palm, requiring more land for equivalent volume.
